Come to me, all who are weary and burdened

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-3).

Definition of unconditional love: not just the worthy, rich, influential, wise, qualified, priests, kings, and the useful but sinners, petty people, the common men, the unqualified, the simpletons, the poor, the helpless, the seekers, the weary….. they all could embrace him and speak their heart to him for he heard everyone, not just the selective. This image depicts the peace and restfulness of those who embraced him His power was the unconditional love that people were naturally attracted to him, even demons. There has been no man or prophet recorded in history who cast out demons like he did and he did not use any power, he just commanded and they obeyed promptly, due to the power of his unconditional love, that oozed out of his every cell and pore. Even the turbulent seas calmed down when he asked them to and even stones turned to bread when he said so, so as to feed the multitude that flocked to just listen to him on the mountains. All great people across all religions and faiths in history were mesmerized by him and almost all great saints and Yogis have spoken and preached about him.

He was literally the unconditional love that walked and breathed. Great conquerers including Alexander admitted that they conquered great parts of the world but by force and here was a man who conquered the hearts of millions with just love, so much that even today they can feel that pulse of his unconditional love, even without having seen him! Such is the power of unconditional love, something that is easy to the preached about but real hard to practice. Something that is a Sadhna in itself. But something that Jesus through his life proved it was possible for humans to embody love and become love…
